When will my applications be upgraded?

We are committed to providing you with the latest versions of each of the Atlassian OnDemand applications (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, FishEye, Crucible, Bamboo, Subversion) and we try to upgrade the applications simultaneously with the release of the equivalent version of the downloadable product. However, it might take a few weeks for certain application versions to become available to you, as each application version must undergo rigorous testing first before we apply it to Atlassian OnDemand. New features from each upgrade are outlined in the Atlassian OnDemand release summary.

We cannot delay the upgrade of any applications under any circumstances. Follow OnDemand on Twitter to keep up-to-date with system maintenance and upgrades. If you suspect that an application upgrade will create problems for you, please contact our support staff for assistance in mitigating any risks. You can contact our support staff by raising a ticket in our support system under the 'OnDemand' project.

Should we include plugin information (such as GreenHopper) in here as well?

    1. Dec 28, 2011

It used to be listed here, but we find it hard to keep it up-to-date and took it out. If add-on versions are very useful to customers, we can consider adding it back. Thoughts?

It should certainly be added, I was recently confused with GreenHopper version being different in OnDemand and in the documentation (5.7 in OnDemand, 5.8 being the latest release).

      2. Dec 29, 2011

This is something I'd definitely like to see added to this page again for clarity's sake.

        1. Dec 29, 2011

I've added the versions for add-ons back, but I went with a light-weight approach, omitting the last digit and dates. Let me know if this is not enough.

This looks good to me, thanks Lingbo (smile)

Any news when GreenHopper 5.8 will be released in OnDemand?

    1. Feb 07, 2012

Is it possible to publish a planning board of when upgrades will be added to the on demand services?

Greenhopper is having a stable time of more then 3 months now and still not being released.

Is there any news on the OnDemand version of JIRA reaching version 5?

    thanks

    Liam

    1. Feb 15, 2012

Hi Liam, we're looking to release JIRA 5 on OnDemand at the same time we release it for Download - look out for an announcement in the coming weeks.

When is the on-demand Bamboo getting upgraded to Bamboo 4?

    Thanks

Yes - do you have a schedule for this? I need the DVCS support.

      Thanks!

    2. Apr 23, 2012

I second this!  Is it right that Version 4 supports BitBucket? This is a big feature requirement for our team.

      Thanks.

      1. Apr 23, 2012

We've started working on Bamboo 4 upgrade and yes, it will include DVCS support (including bitbucket integration). But upgrading Bamboo is a complex task and I can't provide dates for the availability of it in OnDemand yet. We are hoping that we can deliver it in July/August timeframe.
