Organizer

  • Anthony Pelosi is an avid JIRA and Confluence user who took ownership over the San Francisco Atlassian User Group at the start of 2010.
  • Matt Doar is a software consultant with in-depth Atlassian product expertise now working for CustomWare. Matt ran an informal Atlassian User Group Meetings in the South Bay in 2010 and co-organized the SFAUG in 2011. Although no longer a SFAUG organizer, Matt will continue to be very active within the group.
Objectives

The SF Bay Area Atlassian User Group (SF-AUG) serves the San Francisco Bay Area with the following objectives:

  • Share and learn Atlassian product knowledge, best practices, and case studies with fellow current and prospective users.
  • Address the needs of both Atlassian product system administrators as well as novice and experienced product users.
  • Network and socialize with fellow Atlassian product users.
  • Meet 4 times a year on Wednesday or Thursday evenings in locations throughout San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the South Bay.

This user group is open to all current and prospective Atlassian product users in the San Francisco Bay Area interested in knowledge sharing and mingling with fellow users.

Calendar

Past Meetings

  1. Jan 19, 2010

Anthony, I changed the timezone of the Feb event to PST. You may want to set the default for the calendar.

    1. Feb 16, 2010

Unable to set a default for the calendar, my company is based in Central time, it is based on logged in user's default preference.

  2. Feb 15, 2010

I see nothing listed on 2/18. How can this calendar be adopted by folks if it's not updated?

Also the Google group is being spammed, 3/4 messages in it are spam!

  3. Feb 16, 2010

I updated the calendar twice now and the event has disappeared both times. Not sure if there is a bug in this version of the calendar macro or what, I haven't had this happen on my company's confluence instance though and I use the calendar macro all the time.

Also, I did get those SPAM messages in my gmail inbox, but didn't realize they came to me by way of this group because details are hidden by default in my gmail inbox. I'll set up a filter so I realize they are SPAM to the group and take care of it. Thanks.

  4. Feb 16, 2010

I removed and re-added the calendar macro and added the event. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

I reported those 3 spam messages to the google group as spam.

    1. Feb 16, 2010

      Thanks!

The calendar has a webcal address. I can't seem to add it to my Google Calendar (it wants iCal, doesn't seem to take webcal), but thanks for updating!

      1. Feb 16, 2010

Add in Google calendar using "Add by URL" and enter the following:

        webcal://confluence.atlassian.com/plugins/calendar/ical/dc.action?pageId=206866052&cid=SFAUG&scid=MQNIRVTEPD2UQP9P4M9D9907H62C9MUC

I am able to add to iCal on my Mac and my Google Calendar. But the Feb 18 event does not show up. Not sure if this has to do with the subscription itself or the original issue where the event was getting dropped from the calendar macro.

  5. Jun 24, 2011

We are in the unlucky position of having lost Matt's consulting services and need to replace them. We will have some larger one-off projects as well as ongoing technical consulting for our Atlassian suite plus Subversion. Please contact me directly if you are interested in discussing this opportunity.

Thank you and please let me know if there are other places I should post to this group.
