South Florida Atlassian User Group

Welcome

We're creating a group with where Atlassian users from Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach Counties can come together and learn, share, socialize.

We're here to build a community of local users (and potential users) that want to share ideas, experience, and knowledge in the use, implementation, and/or administration of Atlassian tools for issue management, software development, and collaboration.

Our meetings/events are focused on knowledge (not on sales). By sharing knowledge with others, we will all gain invaluable insight into how we can enhance and improve our utilization of these tools – personally and within our respective organizations.

Open: To anyone with a desire to learn more about Atlassian products and to share their knowledge with others.

Requirements: None, really. We are now using Facebook for event RSVP, notifications, and news.

Live from Miami, it's Atlassian Launch Night!

Atlassian is throwing a huge bash in honor of one of our most exciting product launches to date, and we want you to celebrate with us SNL style. 

Atlassian will be streaming the announcement live from San Francisco via webcast with us and other Atlassian User Groups around the world. 

We'll be in the Anastasia conference room watching the live broadcast until 7:45 and then move to the lounge/bar. Hope to see you there!
First Meeting  

For this first meeting, we've scheduled two Presentations - each organized under a theme focused toward a specific type of product (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, development tools, etc.)

There are multiple Topics within each Presentation – these Topics will be a short format (kinda like "Lightning Talks ") 5 minute talk or demo.

Additional questions and answers will be at the end of the topic and the whole format is pretty flexible to encourage participation and learning.

Our initial meeting will have just a few presenters - but the hope is that we will have different presenters offering up their "lighting talk" Topics/Demos within a Presentation 'theme'.

We will also discuss/test using the "world cafe" format and discuss ideas for our next meeting.

    Really looking forward to working with everyone on getting the South Florida Atlassian User Group (@sflaug) off the ground! I think we need a "social event" to kick it off!
