In the interest of keeping the Atlassian community free of sales pitches, Atlassian Experts are not allowed to host or lead Atlassian User Groups ongoing. AUGs are for users, by users and the content of the user group, agenda, organization, logistics, etc., are all at the discretion of the AUG leader and members. Official Atlassian Experts can provide sponsorship items to user groups and user groups are more than welcome to attend events. User group leaders can reach out to Experts for event planning help via aug@atlassian.com.
Atlassian Experts can sponsor user groups with:
- Additional funding, food, beverages, equipment, and other amenities for each event
- Organizational tips and advice to the AUG leader
- Help in finding speakers or presentation content
- A venue space for the meetup
- Presentations on a product demo or use case (once approved by the organizer)
- Promoting the event through outside social mediums, blogs, etc.
- Email aug@atlassian.com or comment on the user group's page to get in contact with the leader
For AUG leaders:
- Email aug@atlassian.com to get in touch with a Expert for any of the above offerings
- Feel free to offer something in return to sponsors who help you out
- It's up to you to screen presentations before events
