Confluence provides XML-RPC and SOAP remote APIs. A site administrator will need to enable the APIs from the Administration Console before you can access Confluence remotely.
To enable the Remote API,
- Go to the 'Administration Console' and click on 'General Configuration' in the left panel.
- Click 'Edit' at the bottom of the 'Options and Settings' screen.
- Select 'On' beside 'Remote API'.
- 'Save' your changes.
