Rebuild index from scratch

When you experience search problems within your instance, or can't find things after performing an upgrade, one simple solution that can help you to locate your content is to rebuild manually the index directory from scratch.

  1. Shut down your server
  2. Remove <confluence-home>/index directory
  3. Restart server

A new install directory will be created upon restarting of your application

Now perform the manual re-indexing of your site to build a 'brand' new index from scratch.

If you still can not find your content, please contact confluence support
