Enhanced Tasklist

Enhanced TaskListV2

This macro creates an enhanced TaskList

  1. Displays the status of the task
  2. Displays the date and time at which the task was checked
  3. Allows the user to add comments next to each task
  4. Fixes the bug in the traditional TaskList that could not support multiple tasks of the same names on a particular page

Syntax :

{tasklistv2:ListName}
ItemName1
ItemName2
ItemName3
{tasklistv2}

Usage

  1. Create a TaskList (just as in the traditional version)
  2. Check/Uncheck to set the Task Complete/Incomplete (the date and time at which the task was checked will show up automatically alongside)
  3. Add a comment next to the Task if you wish and click on the save button next to it

Here's what the macro looks like when operating:

    This is a nice plugin. But it doesn't seem to do anything with the "comments" as in saving a history of who commented on what task - it would be nice to be able to view a history of comments rather than overwriting a comment when a new comment is added.
    Is it possible to do this? Or perhaps save comments to another location?

    Very nice plugin.  The only (big) downside is that after changing the status (the checkbox) it automatically deletes the comment field for that line

    It would also be nice if there was a global Save button to save ALL comments.  No I have to save the comment for each line individually.  I would appreciate if someone (the authors perhaps?) tweak the behavior as I am uncapable of doing it myself.  Thank you.

    I like the plug-in, but I'd like it better if I could get the source code and modify it such that the tasks can be aggregated and/or linked into other tasks.

    We've found a problem with this plugin. We have a page template (space) set up that includes an enhanced task list, and when clicking the "Insert Variables" button on the template nothing happens. We've found this to only happen when the enhanced task list is in the template content.

    We've also found the problem only happens when using Internet Explorer. Firefox works fine.

    We're on Confluence 2.2.9 currently.

    There's one thing I suggest you check out.  While in Confluence, make sure that in Administration | General Configuration | Site Configuration you have Server Base Url properly set.  We had similar problems but once we actually did put in an URL such as http://confluence.ourserver.com it started to work.

    Is there anyway that we can get the source code for this plugin?  It would be much more useful if we could extend it to include such things as due dates and other metrics.

    Thanks

    I think this is a great plugin but no nested tasks??? That's the only thing it's missing. Can someone build something similar to this except nested?

    For example, to sell a car, I would like to have sub-tasks:

    • Sell Car
      • Find title to car
      • Get car washed
      • Post car in advertisement
      • Clean car internally
      • Get the oil changed

    All of these would be sub-tasks to accomplish the greater task of "Sell Car". In truth when all of the sub-tasks are completed, the super task should automatically complete.

    Is this compatible with versions of Confluence higher than 2.1.X?  We are running 2.4.2 currently and will soon be upgrading to a 2.5 version. I prefer this to the Dynamic Tasklist because I want exactly what this one offers - a non-dynamic tasklist that identifies the person who marks it complete, datestamps that signature, and allows a comment field. I do not want users adding/deleting tasks, etc.

    Thanks!

    I using tasklistv2 with links...

    Unknown macro: {tasklistv2}

    [Yahoo|http://www.yahoo.com]
    [Google|http://www.google.com]
    [Wikipedia Site|http://www.wikipedia.org]

    In this example the macro renders the link twice, once in the Task column and then again in the comment's column.

    Another example (not included) the link is *almost* repeated twice.  It correct in the Task column but in the comment's column its truncate, only some of the text is displayed and the link doesn't work.

    So I'm using tasklist for list with links and tasklistv2 for simple lists.  not optimal, but

    thanks
