Where would be an appropriate place to put forward an idea for a new plugin for a capable & willing developer to work on? I've got a small amount of competency in terms of programming - e.g. enough to write a user-macro, tweak page layouts, etc - but in terms of creating a plugin I'd be completely out of my depth (and time!).

However, I've got no shortage of ideas - I'd be more than happy for somebody else to put their name to my concepts (although an honourable mention would be nice ) if it meant they'd become something tangible.

I had a quick dig but couldn't really see anywhere suitable.

    Cheers in advance!

You may want to install the Excel Plugin to Confluence and see if it fulfill your requirement. You can use the Confluence Repository Client via Administration > Plugin Repository to install the Excel Plugin. Alternatively, you can manually upload the Excel Plugin via Administration > Plugins. For guidance on how to install plugins, please see:

Is anyone aware of a screen shot plugin? I would like to attach screen shots to a wiki page without "leaving" the rich text or wiki text editor.

I realize this could be hard to do cross-platform, so another possible solution is the ability to paste an image from the clipboard directly into a wiki page without having to browse to a file (much like JIRA does)

      Hi jamiep77,

May I know the purpose of you trying to integrate Microsoft Project with Confluence? Wouldn't it be more sensible to integrate it to JIRA instead? Here's a JIRA extension that might be of interest to you: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAEXT/Microsoft+Project+Integration

As for your question, Confluence doesn't really have a direct connector for Microsoft Project, but this GanttProject plugin is the closest we have: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFEXT/GanttProject+plugin

      Hi John,

Is it possible for a normal user to see what plugins are installed in the Confluence instance they are using?

As far as I know, you might want to try the 500page.jsp to view the instance plugin. To access
500page.jsp please fired up the internet browser. Insert the following URL address to the address bar

      http://<path-to-confluence>/500page.jsp

NOTE: Please replace the <path-to-confluence> to the path pointing to your instance (e.g: http://localhost:8080/500page.jsp).

      Hope that helps.

      Hi

I'm looking for a macro that would make calculations (at least totals) within a regularly built wiki table, the way the obsolete Math Macro used to work - cf. http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFEXT/Math+Macro. Does anything similar still exist?

I could not think of any plugin which can replace the Math Macro plugin currently. However, I found a feature request in JIRA which might be closest to your requirement:

Please add your comments to the discussion, vote on it and add yourself as a watcher for future updates. Also, please bear in mind the following document on how we schedule features for inclusion in our products: Implementation of New Features and Improvements.

If you are least happy on the feature request. Feel free to launch a feature request in JIRA:

      Hope that helps,
