Macros allow you to perform programmatic functions within a page, and can be used for generating more complex content structures.
Plugins which aid in the adminstration of Confluence.
- Anonymous Filter — Allows allowing or restricting of anonymous access to Confluence based on the IP of the user.
- Attachment Download Plugin — Adds a servlet so you can download attachments from a page without needing to know the ID.
- Attachment Filter — The Attachment Filter Plugin allows administrators to control which file types users may upload.
- Attachment Virus Scan and Blacklist Plugin — This plugin is based on Attachment Filter plugin http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFEXT/Attachment+Filter and modified that admin can set up a backlist to control which type of files can not be uploaded, scan the attachment files before uploading, discard the attachment file and display error message if virus is found
- Backup Manager — A simple plugin for listing / downloading / deleting the backups from your Confluence installation (made automatically each night and placed in the home directory). You can also configure the worker job that makes sure that your backup directory is cleaned to your specifications.
- Bulk User Upload Macro — This macro lets you easily add multiple users from a CSV file.
- Confluence Mail Utilities Plugin — This is a set of utilities to facilitate users to contribute content to Confluence via emails.
- Confluence Page State Plugin — The page state plugin can be used to associate page versions with specific states, such as Submit, Accepted, Rejected, Set Outdated.

It would be very useful to have a report that shows which of the plugins is comp...It would be very useful to have a report that shows which of the plugins is compatible with each new release of Confluence at any point in time - this would help plan upgrades without having to search through each individual plugin's documentation. We currently have over 50 non-system plugins installed.
