    From our experience, windows XP SP2 web folders does not support edit-in-place, or double-click to open and edit a file in the editor that has be configured on the client (i.e. textpad for .txt, excel for .xls) from the web folders file browser.

      Seconded. I am also unable to do what I would normally call "Remote-Edit". When I right-click (in Windows 2003), my options are:

      • Send To
        • Compressed (zipped) Folder
        • Desktop (create shortcut)
        • Mail Recipient
        • My Documents

      • Cut
      • Copy

      • Create Shortcut
      • Delete
      • Rename

      • Properties

      Am I missing something?

    The compatibility chart says MS Web Folders supports reading of data, but I can't open files using Microsoft Office. See WBDV-63.

      I would suspect this being related to the read issue in the other comments above (see WBDV-63). If it's unable to read the data, it would be unable to copy – I hypothesise.
