In Crowd, users are referred to as principal entity objects (or just principals).
To add a principal,
- Login to the Crowd Administration Console.
- Click the 'Principals' link in the top navigation bar.
- This will display the Principal Browser. Click the 'Add Principal' link.
- Complete the fields as described in the table below, then click the 'Create' button.
- After creating the principal, you will be able to specify the principal's attributes and group/role membership.

The email address of the principal. Email addresses must follow the RFC2822 format. |

Only deselect this if you wish to deny access to the principal. |
Username |
The login name of the principal. Within a given directory, the Username must be unique. Note that the Username cannot be changed once the principal is created. |
Password |
The password of the principal. |
First Name |
The first name of the principal. |
Last Name |
The last name of the principal. |
Directory |
The directory to which the principal will be added. Note that the principal cannot be moved to a different directory once the principal is created. |
