Granting CrowdID access rights to a user allows them to use CrowdID to access OpenID websites and perform all the actions described in the CrowdID 1.2 User Guide.
Access to CrowdID is managed via Crowd. A user can only access CrowdID if they belong to a directory that is mapped to the CrowdID application within Crowd.
To grant CrowdID access rights to a particular user,
- Login to your Crowd server¹.
- View your CrowdID application² as described in 3.1 Using the Application Browser in the Crowd 1.2 Administration Guide.
- Click the 'Directories' tab to see a list of directories that are mapped to your CrowdID application. You will need to add the user to one of these directories.
- If your directory capabilities permit, add the user to the directory via Crowd as described in 4.02 Adding a Principal in the Crowd 1.2 Administration Guide. (Otherwise you may need to use your specific directory-management tool, instead of Crowd, to add the user to the directory.)
