After you have created a "new feature" or "improvement" issue for one of our products it will automatically be set a status of Awaiting Review. The Awaiting Review status means that the Product Manager has not been able to review your newly created issue. The Product Manager has been notified about your request and will review it as soon as they are able.
Once the Product Manager has reviewed your request, there are several paths your request can take:
Open: Your request seems valid, but we are not able to commit to delivering the requested functionality at this time. A lot of issues will exist in this state.
Short Term Roadmap: We are considering these issue for the next version of our product. Issues here can move to open or long term roadmap. For example, we have have an issue listed with this status, but after further investigation we uncover a lot of other dependencies. This can force us to defer the issue to a later release and we may move the issue to the long term roadmap instead.
Long Term Roadmap: We are considering these issue for a future version of our product. Issues here can move to open or short term roadmap. This was created to give you more insight to what we are considering further down the development cycle.
Resolved / Closed: Your request has reached its end state. This resolution can be for a number of reasons (won't fix, duplicate, completed).
NOTE: Not all products currently use this workflow. We are currently implementing this for JIRA, but expect other products to implement a similar process in the future.
