| The 'Confluence Installation directory' is the directory into which the Confluence application files and libraries have been unpacked (unzipped) when Confluence was installed. Confluence does not modify or store any data in this directory. This directory is also sometimes called the 'Confluence Install directory'. |

Page should be expanded to outline exactly how the user would locate their installation directory post-configuration and install.
This would be specially handy if the party does not know/cannot locate it and might be preparing for an upgrade, backup, etc.

So where is Confluence 4 installed post upgrade? I have Confluence installed in a path that includes the version number i.e. confluence-3.5-std. After upgrading I can't find a new folder so can you confirm that files have been over written or is it tucked away in a different location altogether?

This may be helpful:
The "Confluence Installation Directory" has a folder structure that will be similar to this:
The "Confluence Home Directory" on the other hand will look something like this:
That should be helpful in identifying the right one. I think they should just name the confluence home directory "confluence-home" so it is unambiguous, but what do I know?
