As far as I can tell, Charlie, this can't be done. News seems to be limited to one-space (there is no spacekey parameter on the blog-posts tag). Maybe there's a way which isn't documented?

On a slightly different note, after 4+ hours searching the doco and googling, it appears something as simple as displaying the logged in userid/username is impossible. All I want is to display the name/id, no links or anything "special".
Is this possible and it's just I haven't learnt how to read the doco???

As I say 4+ hours and I started my programming in 1981 on mainframe assembler. I would have thought this was a simple variable/macro????

It may be slight overkill if you just want the username, but you can use the Reporting Plugin to do that. Try this: {report-info:global:current user > name} or {report-info:global:current user > full name}.

      Some other solutions:

      1. RUN-9 is an enhancement to the Run Plugin that does what you want.
      2. Create a simple user macro {current-user} and follow information from this comment

What settings do I need to change in order to link from the username on a page directly to a profile? At the moment, the page information (Added by John Smith, last edited by Mary Smith) just displays the contributor name that isn't a link. I've tried searching for the answer but to no avail so would appreciate any help!

    Thanks!

      Hi Ajay,

Do your team members able to see the expected result from your working machine? I would suggest you to raise a support ticket at https://support.atlassian.com for further investigation. Thanks.
