Component Lead Notification Type

Some Jira users want to set up Jira to send notifictions to issue component lea. See http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-3924.

There in attachment notification-type-component-lead.zip solves this problem, and shows an example of how you could add your own notification type.

See readme.txt inside for how to compile it and add it to your Jira.

    This appears to address the notification aspect, but does it do anything to have tickets automatically assigned to the component owner instead of the project lead?  If this isn't the right add-on for this particular aspect of the problem, do you know of another way of addressing it?  Thanks.

      You can auto-assign an issue to a Component Lead by:

      1. Browse to the Project Adminstration page
      2. Select the desired project
      3. Click the link Select assignees for components
      4. For each Component select the Component Lead radio button.

      All issues will now be auto-assigned to the Component Lead.
