Description/Features
This plugin works like Update Issue Field Plugin. It is used to update custom fields with a specific value automatically.
It lists each custom field in a combobox and it has an input text to you to set the value that the custom field will be updated to. However, it is important to say that this plugin do not check for valid values for the custom fields. For example, consider you have a custom field of type Select List and you have some options for it. When you choose this custom field in the plugin combobox, the plugin will not check for the options available for it, you will have only an input text to fill out the value. Then, if you put a value that is not a valid option, this will work, you will not get an error.
Only for Date fields, you will have an error if you do not fill out the date value according to your Jira date format.
I tried to display only valid values for each custom field, but I did not get it. You can see this discussion in http://forums.atlassian.com/thread.jspa?messageID=257239309.

Thanks for your comments!
I have just added the source files. To compile them it is only necessary to have the dependencies from jira-development-kit-3.6-1.zip.

Cristiane

Do you not mind if I will add your post-function into Jira Suite?
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAEXT/JIRA+Suite+Utilities
I think this function will be very useful in suite with other one. I can give you 'Project owner' permission to this project.
What do you think about that?
P.S. Sorry, I forgot licensing issue. Suite was started as BSD project and I can't change this. Is it acceptable for you?

Cristiane, This is the original licence agreementCristiane,
This is the original licence agreement

I'm not a lawer but what I know about BSD licencing (in differece to GPL) - when somebody what to use this software in commercial product he don't have to publish all source code just to add all copyright notes and references to development team. The most well-known software with this kind of licencing is FreeBSD

This might be a little "off-topic", but can you tell me how could I change Issue Security Level in Workflow transition?
Neither Update Issue Field nor this Update Issue Custom Field plugin doesn't allow to do that.

I was also looking into this functionality. I am referring to the Security LevelI was also looking into this functionality. I am referring to the Security Level. I did not find this field in either the system or custom field sections. I looked at the JIRA API but have not had any success in adding this functionality into the post-function section for JIRA Suite Utilities.
