How can I change RANK field value by editing an issue in JIRA Agile 5.8? I can do it by drag and dropping cards  in planning board, but I would like to change RANK the field value  from 'the view screen or edit screen. Is it possible?

Is there a way to set up RANK during issue creating in JIRA Agile 5.8? Is there a way to quick edit value of RANK field using the 'pencil' in JIRA Agile 5.8?

In JIRA Agile 5.8, the new ranking field cannot be directly edited like in the old versions. Please refer to Ranking Issues in JIRA Agile for more information on how to rank issues. 

In JIRA Agile 5.8 the edit rank features from Edit issue screen has been removed since the rank was unique per project, so each issue had a numeric position inside a project. With the Global Rank, the rank is global across all projects. You can't use the old rank anymore after upgraded to 5.8 ( Rank (obsolete) ) since it using for references only. The idea to migrate from to Global Rank is for performance sake, now customer has much faster ranking and they can use the same rank field in the old planning board and in the new rapid board.
