CRC-226 - Creating bulk Users in Fisheye Crucible remotely after integrating with LDAP Crowd

Symptom



Users from LDAP or Crowd are required to log in at least once in order to create the user entry in the local Fisheye/Crucible. There is already an improvement request being raised at:






Being able to create users remotely would be good for this case too.

Root Cause




Solution



There is a workaround provided the Fisheye instance is integrated with Crowd/LDAP:



    
	
  1. The "Create a FishEye user on successful login" option is required.
    2. 
	
  2. The Administrator can use the Login and Logout method remotely
    3. 
	
  3. Performing the methods above would enable the Administrator to login (remotely) on behalf of the users for the first time and hence being added to Fisheye database.
