What Custom Plugin Packs Are

Atlassian's Custom Plugin Pack team provides targeted solutions for customers of Confluence and JIRA where the project is of this nature:

  • The work is generally a week or less of effort
  • The solution is re-usable
  • The results can be delivered using the plugin architecture
  • The solution may be made available via open source license

Typically this work entails leveraging the plugin frameworks. Other limited services are also available.

Common Types of Solutions

Examples of work the Custom Plugin Pack team undertakes:

Work Process

Custom Plugin Pack creation follows a simple process that includes:

  • Project Definition -- requirements, expectation setting, estimate of time and price, responsibilities, project communication. The customer is asked to approve this definition before proceeding.
  • Technical Brief Session -- review of first technical work prior to completing all work to ensure desired outcome
  • Delivery of Plugin Pack -- delivery of the desired solution packaged for installation, demonstration and customer sign off.

Because the Custom Plugin Pack team is an extension of our development team and the work is short in duration, projects are done primarily off-site from the customer.
