We have a special pricing model for creating and enhancing wiki to Confluence converters.

New wiki converters - $5500

A new wiki converter costs $5500 to develop. As part of this price the converter will cover the following basic syntax conversions:

  • bold
  • italics
  • underline
  • headings and titles
  • bulleted lists
  • numbered lists
  • hyper links both internal and external
  • tables (note: some wikis have table features and options beyond Confluence's built in features, in these cases the conversions have to be adapted and may appear differently)
  • images
  • attachments
  • an exporter from the origin wiki if required
These conversions will exclude the use of undocumented syntaxes not listed on the origin wiki's primary syntax page.
    plus:
  • an additional five syntax conversions
  • additional syntax conversions can then be added at $150 per instance

Enhancements to existing wiki converters (which also prioritized fixes of existing converters)

  • 5 additional syntax conversions for $1000 (minimum to start a new engagement)
  • Additional syntax conversions can be developed at $200 per instance.

The process and customer responsibilities:

The development of a converter typically requires a few iterations. During this time it is the responsibility of the customer to provide sample data for any conversions that are falling short of their expected behavior. In other words it would not be enough to say "links don't work in some cases", rather real or sample test data would need to be provided.

The product:

The converters will be built upon the Universal Wiki Converter framework and behave much like existing converters.

Limitations:

Many wikis have a number of similar features at their core. However they also differ widely in syntax, metadata, organizational options and built in application modules. We offer the basic converter with the pricing and features mentioned above. By also offering the option for additional customization we hope to be able to meet the needs of most customers interested in converting to Confluence.

However in some cases there may be no currently corresponding feature within Confluence as the given wiki. In these cases we'll do our best to translate the data into a similar format with your guidance. Custom plugins and extensions to Confluence are also an option at an additional cost.

Licensing:

All source will be provided under a BSD or Apache style license. You are free to use the product indefinitely.
