JIRA does not send notifications for Custom Events

Problem
You have created a Custom Event and also configured the workflow/Notification Scheme to send notifications for this custom event. However, no notification is being sent.
Cause
There isn't any template selected for this Custom Event. Without a template, JIRA won't be able to send out notifications for it
Resolution
Select a template for this Custom Event
- Navigate to the Events page
- Locate your custom event
Click on Edit
Select a template to be used for this event
