Problem

When performing a Jira import originating from Jira Cloud to Jira Server, the following error is thrown:

The Issue Link Type 'Problem/Incident' has style 'servicedesk_automation_default_linktype' in the backup, but has no style in the current system

Diagnosis

Environment

  • XML file is originating from Jira Cloud

Cause

This is due to JSD once exist in the Jira Cloud installation.

It's possible that there were some remnants of Service Management related database values, regardless of if you consumed Jira Service Management or not.

Resolution

  1.  First, install Service Management in your instance and see if the project import works
    1. To install Service Management, download the obr file from [here|https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.servicedesk.application/versions], navigate to the *Versions and Licenses* page in Jira, click on the _Upload an application_ link and select the file you just downloaded, and apply the Service Management license
  2. If that doesn't work, perform the following
    1. Stop Jira and generate a backup of your database
    2.  Run the following query against your database
update issuelinktype
set pstyle = 'servicedesk_automation_default_linktype'
where linkname = 'Problem/Incident';

Restart Jira and re-try the import
