Associate work types with projects
As a Jira administrator, you can associate a work type scheme with multiple projects to better manage work types in one go. Your project administrators can also select a work type scheme based on the work types they need in each of their projects.
How to associate a work type scheme with a project
Select Settings (), then select Work items.
In the Work types section, select Work type schemes.
Select Associate for the scheme you want to associate with a project.
Find the projects you want to associate with the scheme and select Associate.
How Jira administrators manage work type schemes
Next to your project's name in the sidebar, select More actions (•••), then Project settings.
Select Work types, then Actions, then select Use a different scheme.
Choose one of the three options:
If you know the work type scheme name, select an existing work type scheme.
If you know which project you want to copy, choose a scheme from an existing project.
If you want to create a new scheme with default work types, choose a new scheme to be associated with your current project.
When you have selected a scheme, select OK.
