Connecting to SVN server using SSL fails due to unrecognized_name
When attempting to connect to a SVN server configured to use SSL the following error is received and a connection cannot be configured:
INFO [http-apr-8085-exec-11] [SvnRepository] Failed to validate the subversion url: svn: E175002: handshake alert: unrecognized_name svn: E175002: OPTIONS request failed on '/path/to/tags/id'
The SVN server is not configured correctly, ServerName in your Apache virtual host configuration is missing.
TortoiseSVN ignores this warning by default and it may go unnoticed.
In the Apache virtual host configuration, make sure the
<VirtualHost>tag has a value for ServerName.
<VirtualHost mydomain.com:443> ServerName mydomain.com [...] </VirtualHost>
