For Bamboo 4.2.1 or above

You can select the Subversion Working Copy Format used during checkouts in the Administration page (under 'Build Resources', choose Repository Settings, then the Subversion tab):

For Bamboo 4.2

Bamboo 4.2 and newer versions support the Subversion 1.7 Workspace Format, and use this format by default.

If you need to specify the workspace format you can run Bamboo with an extra system property in the server and the agents:

-Dbamboo.svn.wc.format=1.7

Bamboo

For Bamboo, system properties can be added to the <Bamboo-Install>/conf/wrapper.conf file.

Add the following extra line to the wrapper.conf file, under the "wrapper.java.additional" section :

wrapper.java.additional.X=-Dbamboo.svn.wc.format=1.7

Where X is next number of the "wrapper.java.additional" sequence.

To configure remote agents, repeat the same procedure with file <Agent-Home-Directory>/conf/wrapper.conf.

Bamboo EAR-WAR

If the Bamboo server is being run in Tomcat, the system property can be set at the local Java OPTs as follows:

(info) You may already have a JAVA_OPTS variable set locally. In this case, you can just add the additional property to the variable: -Dbamboo.svn.wc.format=1.7

Windows:

  1. Find the setenv.bat file.
  2. Assign the desired properties to the JAVA_OPTS variable:

    set JAVA_OPTS=-server -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dbamboo.home=/opt/bamboo/bamboohome -Xmx512m -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dbamboo.svn.wc.format=1.7 %JAVA_OPTS%

Linux-based systems:

  1. Find the setenv.sh file
  2. Assign the desired properties to the JAVA_OPTS variable:

    JAVA_OPTS="-server -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dbamboo.home=/opt/bamboo/bamboohome -Xmx512m -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dbamboo.svn.wc.format=1.7 $JAVA_OPTS"
    export JAVA_OPTS

To configure remote agents connected to WAR-EAR Bamboo servers, add the following extra line to the <Agent-Home-Directory>/conf/wrapper.conf file, under the "wrapper.java.additional" section:

wrapper.java.additional.X=-Dbamboo.svn.wc.format=1.7

Where X is next number of the "wrapper.java.additional" sequence.
