Jira Cloud development tool failing to synchronize data from the Bitbucket Cloud
Summary
At times, users may encounter an issue where the data from Bitbucket Cloud, such as pull requests, branches, and commits, appears incomplete within the development panel of Jira Cloud. Typically, these issues arise when initially connecting Jira Cloud and Bitbucket Cloud.
Solution
This problem may stem from data synchronization errors between Jira Cloud and Bitbucket Cloud. As an initial troubleshooting step, you can attempt to disconnect and then reconnect the two cloud services, and verify if the issue is resolved. Reintegration will trigger the re-execution of data synchronization jobs between the cloud accounts. The proposed solution is also documented in the following bug ticket: JSWCLOUD-17101 - Development panel not updated with data from Bitbucket.
Steps:
Perform a re-integration for the DVCS account:
- Click on the triple-dot menu
- Select to delete the account
- Confirm to delete the account
- Click on "Link Bitbucket Cloud account"
- Go through the installation process
From Bitbucket:
- Select the account you want to integrate with Jira
- Go to Settings > Find Integrations
- Look for the Jira integration
- Select Add and enter your Jira URL
- Go through the installation process
