When you create a new repository, all groups will be given access to the repository based on the default access for the group. For example, let's say you create a group 'Contractors' with the default access set to 'Read'. When you create a new repository, the 'Contractors' group will be assigned 'Read' access to the new repository. You can change the group's level of access to the repository later.
