Bitbucket 8.xxx fails to start after installation or upgrade

Summary

When you upgrade or install a new version of Bitbucket 8.xxx it is not starting up with error in the atlassian-bitbucket.log "Failed to start Mesh".

Diagnosis

Looking at the atlassian-bitbucket.log you will see the error below with Sidecar could not be started.

Cause

This issue occurs when you use an unsupported git version,which is less than the minimum requirement of git version 2.31.  

Solution

Upgrade to a supported version of Git.
