Update your account details

You can edit all your Atlassian account details from https://id.atlassian.com/ when you have a personal account and some details when you have a managed account. For more information about the difference between these two accounts, refer to the Personal and managed Atlassian accounts page.

  If you don't yet have an Atlassian account

To edit cross-application information and settings, click your profile picture in the top right, select Profile, and click the edit pencil. To update JIRA application or Confluence profile information, click the Tools menu at the top right of the page.

To change your password when you're logged in, click your profile picture at the top right, then select Profile. If you're not logged in, click the Unable to access your account? link on the login page and we'll send you a link to reset your password.

Reset your account password

To reset your password when you're logged in, click Change password in the left panel.

To reset your password when you're not logged in, visit the Password Reset page.

When you change your password, we'll send a verification email so you can complete the change. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder for an email from noreply@mailer.atlassian.com or noreply@mail.notifications.atlassian.com. If you can't find the email, try reseting your password again.

Change your email address

To update your Atlassian account email address, log in to https://id.atlassian.com/ and click Change email address in the left panel.

If you aren't able to change your email address, you'll see a notification that says you have a Managed account, which means that your organization manages your account. As a result, you aren't able to update your email address. Contact an administrator to change your email address.
