Summary

When running the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) to migrate from Server to Cloud, sometimes you need to install a specific version of the addon, or Atlassian Support is asking you to downgrade the JCMA version.

Environment

This message applies to Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA).

  • From Server to Cloud

Solution

  1. Uninstall the current version of Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
  2. Navigate to ${JIRA_URL}/secure/admin/jira/views/SiteDarkFeatures!default.jspa
  3. Add the following dark feature:

    com.atlassian.jira.migration.skip.app.outdated.check
  4. Download the Jar file for the version you want to install by browsing to JCMA Version History
  5. Navigate to General Configuration > Manage apps.
  6. Choose Upload app.
  7. Locate the file then click Upload.
  8. Wait for it to finish installing, and that's it.
