What are the benefits of integrating the Team Calendars app with Confluence?

Team Calendars is an app for Confluence. It cannot work without Confluence and if your Confluence is accessible via VPN, calendars will be under similar restrictions.

This app enables you to place calendars in Confluence in order to track and schedule your team's work. You can align people, projects, and events using Team Calendar, and you'll able to create views to see only what you need. You can even surface your sprints from Jira on the calendar.

For versioning, change history, and tracking details like code changes and outages, you'll need a combination of Confluence, Team Calendars, and Jira. To track business and IT events and to get updates from multiple users, you'd likely track these in a Jira issue. You can display Jira issues on calendars in Confluence though, giving quick accessible ways to open them.
