Does live chat come with Jira Service Desk out of the box? Can I integrate live chat with Jira Service Desk?




Live chat functionality does not come out of the box with Jira Service Desk. If you're currently using a live chat tool, a Jira Service Desk agent would have the option to create issues from chats on behalf of a customer.

You have the option to add an Atlassian Marketplace app that can add live chat functionality. View apps that are compatible with Jira as well as live chat apps that are compatible with Jira Service Desk. Please ensure that any app you're interested in is compatible with your deployment option of Jira Service Desk by ensuring that your preferred option is shown in the deployment drop-down menu of the app, or by further narrowing down the Marketplace app filter by deployment option.
