JIRA Software : How can I know the size of JIRA and Confluence builds?
Objective
How can I know the size of JIRA and Confluence builds?
Environment
Server/Cloud
Procedure
You can store data in three places in each application. You need to add the total size of:
- The application installation directory (this won't change size much)
- The "home" directory (mostly the attachments, index and log files will grow these)
- The database: It’s easy to know the size if you have only one database. You can directly look at the data directory size. But, it is complex to extract the size of one set of data if you have multiple databases. It's also a bit hard if you're using a different database to Atlassian, as the sizes are not going to be a perfect match. But it should give you an exact number.
Note: The important factor here is your attachments, though.
