Summary

An easy guide for generating an evaluation/trial license for Confluence Data Center.

Environment

Confluence 3.x or later versions

Solution

A trial/evaluation license gives you access to a full instance of Confluence Data Center for 30 days. In order to create a new one for Confluence Data Center:

  1. Log in to https://my.atlassian.com
  2. Click New Trial License to create a new key with 30 days of trial time. Please note that you'll need your Server ID to generate the key.

    1. The Server ID can be found listed on the same page under your product type
    2. Generating the License key doesn't automatically update the license used in your Confluence installation
  3. Copy and apply the License key to your installation by navigating to the License Details page.
