Problem
Office files attachments cannot be previewed using New File Preview in Confluence
Viewing the file will display as below screenshot:
Diagnosis
Environment
- Confluence 5.8.5
- Observed in all browsers
Cause
Confluence Document Conversion Library is disabled
Resolution
- Go to Manage Add-ons page.
- Select System from the drop-down list,
- Search for the Confluence Document Conversion Library
- Click enable
Note
If you cannot enable the add-on in newer versions it may have been disabled prior to upgrading, in which case you reset all the add-ons back to their default state with How to reset all Confluence plugins back to their default state through the database.
