PDF attachment download does not open in Internet Explorer IE 11
Platform Notice: Server and Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the server and data center platforms.
When downloading PDF files via IE 11 the files are incompletely downloaded and does not open . When trying to open the PDF the below message is displayed
- The issue occurs on internet explorer IE 11
- Confluence uses a proxy server .
This is caused due to some issue with the proxy server settings.
This issue is solved when Confluence is used bypassing the proxy.
You might want to check the compression settings in your proxy configuration.
Alternatively, use other browsers to download the attachment (Chrome, Firefox etc).
