description

If your Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant is stuck or seems stalled, follow these instructions to reset it and try again.

Platform Notice: Server and Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the server and data center platforms.

Performing these steps will erase any migration plans that you've previously worked on. Only try these steps once your instance is backed up, and only if the plugin cannot be enabled, or is not working properly.

Purpose

These instructions will help if the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant:

  • is unable to run; or
  • has a migration with a running status that appears to be stuck.

Solution

Always back up your data before performing any modifications to the database. If possible, test any alter, insert, update, or delete SQL commands on a staging server first.

Please follow these steps to restore the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant to the default version.

  1. Shut down your Confluence server instance.
  2. Backup your database.

  3. Run the following database commands for your database type. You may need to modify as necessary.

    PostgreSQL ...

    DROP TABLE public.mig_app_assessment_info;
    DROP TABLE public.mig_check_result;
