Sharepoint Webpart Shows Unable to load spaces or pages from Confluence

When trying to modify shared web part, the following error appears:

ERROR: Unable to load spaces or pages from Confluence. Unable to perform requested action.

Because the test is working, it's likely that the Sharepoint logged in user is not recognised by Confluence.

Try the Test Connection from the Confluence Setting page in Sharepoint Server. If it fails, you have a connection issue. See Test Connection from Sharepoint Administration Page Failed in Confluence. If not:

  1. Examine the SharePoint Unified Logging Service (ULS) logs. These can be found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS directory on your SharePoint server.
  2. Search the logs for "Atlassian Confluence" for messages generated by the SharePoint Connector for Confluence.

Ensure that the user name used in Sharepoint exists in Confluence.

Atlassian recommends Using LDAP for user management so as to share a user base with Sharepoint.

User names are case sensitive in Confluence, so make sure that the username cases are the same.
