Symptoms

Space Activity graphs are not being displayed. The following error appears in the logs:

Error formatting macro: chart: java.lang.Error: Probable fatal error:No fonts found.

Cause

JVM font components were missing from Java installation. Sun's java, packaged by the jpackage project, splits sun's jdk rpm into several separate packages, and the java sun-fonts rpm package is missing.

Resolution

Install the missing package (for example, xorg-x11-fonts package) and restart Confluence. Refer to Java Sun's documentation for more information.
