An external user is a user who does not have access to your company email domain, but who you allow to access your Atlassian OnDemand site, for example. e.g. a client, contractor, or remote worker.

Example scenarios:

  • Users who have Google Apps accounts, but who do not have access rights to your email or business login details.
  • Users who don't have a Google ID because they have email accounts on domains other than Google.

External user accounts are created as OnDemand users.

  1. Hi, so does this mean that if I have 50 staff and I need to accept feature requests from hundreds of users, I'd need to get >500 user licence, ie pay $500 per month rather than $200?
