Symptoms

Bamboo fails to validate SVN credentials and shows this error message in the BAMBOO_INSTALL/atlassian-bamboo.log:

INFO   | jvm 1    | 2012/12/21 15:40:49 | 2012-12-21 15:40:49,245 INFO [qtp96561968-143] [SvnRepository] Failed to validate the subversion url: svn: E170001: Negotiate authentication failed: 'No valid credentials provided'

Cause

A wrong method is used by Bamboo for validating SVN credentials.

Resolution

Start Bamboo with the following startup parameters

-Dsvnkit.http.methods=Basic
