I have used the bitbucket. While using Mercurial (Hg) at the end of the day.. i accidentally typed "hg pull" instead of "hg push". Hence my question –  Will all the file changes get removed  and i will have the old files?

No definitely not - pull before push it is a good practicel - but have a look at a mercurial tutorial to understand the basic concepts of this phantastic tool, e.g. at http://hginit.com.

  3. FYI the Bitbucket FAQ link in the left column is returning a page not found.

    1. Fixed! Thanks for the heads up.
