Bitbucket Server Installer fails on Windows 2000
Platform Notice: Data Center Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Data Center platform.
Note that this KB was created for the Data Center version of the product. Data Center KBs for non-Data-Center-specific features may also work for Server versions of the product, however they have not been tested. Support for Server* products ended on February 15th 2024. Problem
When installing Bitbucket Server on Windows 2000 you might get the following message:

The procedure entry point GetNativeSystemInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL.
Cause
The installer is not supported on Windows 2000 environment. You can get more details of this error on this link.
Resolution
Bitbucket Server is supported on Windows 2000.
Hence you should be able to get it up and running if you follow the instructions on the guide below:
