Atlassian Cloud applications no longer support WebDAV. For updated import information, please refer to Import and export data.

Purpose

Your Atlassian Cloud account includes a WebDAV directory share. You can use this to upload large files to share with support, backup files, or data you want to import into your instance.  See Upload data via WebDAV for more information.

BitKinex is a free all-in-one FTP/SFTP/WebDAV Client for Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7.

Solution

Install BitKinex. When installing, ensure to select Direct connection and not Use proxy server.

In BitKinex, Select File > Quick Connect or click F11.

  1. Be sure to use https:// and enter your full Atlassian Cloud URL.
  2. Include the /webdav directory at the end of your URL. Please note the directory name must be in lowercase.
  3. Use a username from the group administrators.
  4. Do not use an email address as your username. You must use the actual username.
  5. Enter the user's password, and click Connect!

You will see this screen when you are connected. From here, you can transfer files from your computer to WebDAV.
