Jira Gadgets are not displayed in the list of macros

Summary

After having a Confluence-only instance connected with an external Jira application via Application links, Jira gadgets will not be displayed in the list of macros. Some examples:

  • Sprint Health Gadget

  • Labels Gadget

  • Sprint Burndown

  • Agile Wallboard

  • Wallboard Spaces

  • Days Remaining in Sprint

  • Version report

  • Filter Results

  • Jira issues calendar

  • Average age chart

Diagnosis

  • Confluence-only Cloud instance connected to an external Jira (Cloud or On-prem) via Application links.

Cause

Jira gadgets are only supported for Confluence if it is integrated with Jira in the same instance/URL, which automatically has the Application Links integrated.

Solution

You can add Jira to the instance and later, migrate the content from the older Jira into the newly added one
