Symptoms

NeoOffice version 3.1.2 Patch 2 on Mac OS X does not work with 'Edit in Office' nor 'Edit in Word'.

While the attached document or Confluence page can open correctly, saving back the content will generate 'General Input/Output Error'.

For .xls documents, NeoOffice 3.1.2 will not be able to save back to Confluence. (You can only choose 'Save as'.)

Older versions of NeoOffice work fine in Confluence.

Cause

This issue is caused by a bug on Neo Office.

Resolution

Since the problem is caused by a bug on Neo Office, it cannot be fixed in Confluence. Please refer to issue CONF-18365.
