  1. Hi,

Is there a way to display more than 10 entries per report screen?

I'm using jira:project=PROJ1|server=myserver as the query.

    Thanks,

    GeoffW.

    1. Hi Geoff and others,

Unfortunately I can't help you with this particular request.

For more information, you can post a question on Atlassian Answers or create a feature request on our issue tracker for the Confluence developers.

Alternatively, you could always open a support request at http://support.atlassian.com, where our support engineers will be able to get back to you quickly.

      I hope this helps.

    2. Geoff,

Did you ever figure this one out? The '10-issue pagination' problem has been there for a while and I've not been able to find a good solution other than changing to 'renderMode=static', which removes all the other nice dynamic features like column sorting.

    Hi -

Is there a way to insert a JIRA issue into another JIRA issue and have it update in real-time (so that updates made to the inserted JIRA issue will show up on the JIRA issue that houses the inserted JIRA issue)?

    Did that make sense?

    Thanks,

    sally

    sorry, that rendered badly.  again:

Is there a way, using the shorthand notation, to specify which columns/keys you want displayed?

    e.g. {jira:X-123|columns=key}

    1. Anonymous

Do you already found a solution?

  4. Yes, you can configure the columns to display (comma or semicolon separated) and the height (in pixels). This is described in Jira Issues Macro#Parameters and should be documented here as well!

As far as I can see, the {jira} and {jiraissues} macros share these parameters

The configuration of columns to display with com.atlassian.confluence.macro.MacroExecutionException: JIRA project does not exist or you do not have permission to view it. is not working with Confluence 3.5.

At least it is not working inside a table (

      ).

is there any solution to the above issue? We are also facing the same.

The configuration of columns to display with {jira:X-123|columns=key} is not working with Confluence 3.5.

At least it is not working inside a table ({table-plus}).

If we have Confluence and Jira linked dynamically and insert a table of Jira issues into Confluence using JQL, will that table be updated dynamically?

We're currently using Jira but not confluence and looking for a Project Lifecycle Management tool that will provide support for requirements gathering and other aspects that is outside of Jira's expertise. I gather that confluence would be good at this aspect of software development.

    Thanks!

  6. This is a good move in the right direction for ease of integration. I have always struggled to see how best to use confluence for documenting specs etc and using jira to do the actual work.

With regard to creating jira issues from confluence, I would like to provide the following feedback.

    - Ability to config the fields that are displayed. Ideally in the Jira screen field config, have a field that indicates if it should be displayed in the confluence jira issue creation window

    - Combine this feature with the Jira Linker Plugin So the page link will automatically go into the custom jira field and when we view the issue in Jira, it has a link going back to the wiki page.

In addition, if we could have better integration between comments. For example if a Jira task and a confluence wiki page is linked, there should be a section to display each others comments. Maybe it can be separately shown or integrated to each others comments stream with an indicator from where it was created. This is really important so it enables end users to use either jira or confluence depending on their use case / work practice.

Not wanting to end the comment looking like a wingging ungreatful guy :), I must say Jira and Confluence rocks. Great stuff and keep up the upward momentum.

    1. I'd also like to be able to configure the fields that are displayed when creating a new issue with this macro. It was one of the first things my users asked for after I implemented this feature and rolled it out to them. I agree that ideally the fields would be somehow pulled from the "Create" screen scheme assignment for that project.

I believe there is a request for Confluence to send trackbacks to JIRA when an issue is created this way (CONF-13928)

  7. Is there any way to mimic the JIRA internal issue linking system: simply insert a link to a JIRA issue, which will then automatically change to "strikethrough" when the JIRA issue is resolved?

Or, alternatively, to insert a very small representation of an issue (a link, a bit of text, anything small) which will display the current status of the issue in realtime?

I would also be very interested in an answer to this question. If you have found a way can you share?

Is there any way how to extend/add imput fields at CREATE JIRA ISSUE form - using JIRA insert issue macro in Confluence 4.0 to fully match all mandatory filelds in JIRA e.g. "DUE" and "START DATE"

  9. Hi,

can someone confirm that the insert JIRA issue still works with confluence 4.1.5 and Jira 4.4.3?

I make the application link, also a space link but i didn't see a JIRA menu in the editor toolbar.

    thanks, michael

Some news: i can insert "{JIRA: <ISSUE_ID>}" and then the issue gets shown but i can not open a dialog and can not edit the parameter

    1. I found out the reason and to say it political incorrect: it's a pain in the a..

I use JIRA (4.4.3) with win 7 and ie9. Sadly the JIRA integration of confluence didn't work with ie9. If i use an ie8 then i see the insert JIRA issue.

Now i am not sure if i can recommend my boss to buy confluence and to update the JIRA license.

Did someone know some alternatives that work with new (over one or two years is not really new) browsers?

      cheers, michael

      1. Thanks for the info, good find!

have you tested it with Firefox or Chrome?

Is there a way to insert a JIRA query even if it produces an empty set? I only get the check-box to "Insert all query results as a table" if the query returns something. I want the ability to insert the query anticipating that there will be results.

  11. Is there any way to add additional fields?  The project I want to create the issue in has custom fields that are also required, so when I try to use this, it just gives me an error message that says to create the issue in JIRA.  If I wanted to do that, I would have done that to begin with!

  12. Is there a way show the count of issues that a JQL query matches on a page?

  14. How can i take newly added issue fields to word document view

How do I insert a JIRA issue, but only the key - I don't want the type and description. Previously, I used to input JIRA:ABC-123, or JIRA ABC-123 and neither of these work.

    Hi all,

Is there a way to insert a JIRA issue (not a link) without opening the dialog box. If I know and specify the issue key (which is unique), getting through the dialog box is useless and quite tedious after a few issues.

    Thanks in advance ...

  17. The JIRA issues macro is not a awesome as I had hoped.  When you have to enter more than 3 it's actually quite challenging.  We have a workflow where the issue we need to put into the confluence page are very disparate and need to be done manually.  In Confluence 4 we could just drop the links in.  Is there a way to get back to that awesomeness?

    1. There has been no intentional change with the way the JIRA Issues macro works between 4.0 and 5.0.

Are you talking about pasting URL links to single JIRA issues?

If this is no longer working after an upgrade then raise a support ticket - it may a bug that we don't know about, or something specific to your instance.

If I insert a JIRA ticket through the macro, the 'Version' is the 'Affects Version'. The Fix Version would makes more sense (at least to me). Is there a way to have the fix version filled in, in stead of the affects version?

  19. Is there any possibility for a future update, that at "Create New Issue" there is also the setting available for the reporter and/or the assignee?
