Create application links between cloud and self-managed products

When you’re ready to integrate your Atlassian cloud and server products, create application links between them.

If you’re looking for features and limitations for each integration, see Available integrations between cloud and self-managed products.

Network requirements

You can now use application tunnels to forward application links to your network, without opening it for any incoming connections or allowlisting Cloud IP ranges. Once you create a tunnel, you point application links at it, and all the traffic gets forwarded to the target Server or Data Center instance. For more info, see Connect to self-managed products with application tunnels.

Application links connect your products directly, which means the products to be able to reach each other.

Incoming communication to server

If your server products live behind a firewall, you need to allowlist Atlassian cloud IP ranges and domains.

Outgoing communication from server

Your server products need to be able to reach the URLs of your cloud products.

You can create the application links either from cloud or server, and then create the reciprocal link while authorizing the connection.

  1. In your product, go to Administration.

  2. Navigate to Application links.

  3. Enter the URL of the target product, and select Create new link.

  4. Use the wizard to complete setup of the application link. You’ll be redirected between your products to authorize the link. After that, the link should appear in both products.

If you’re having problems, see the Application links documentation.
