When importing users from external authentication sources, you can set FishEye to force the usernames to become lowercase. This solves an issue with some sources adding duplicate users to the FishEye database.

To force lowercase usernames:

  1. Log into FishEye's admin area.
  2. Click Authentication, under 'Security Settings'.
  3. Click Turn On to toggle 'Force Lowercase Username' on.

With this setting switched On, when new users are added to FishEye from an external authentication source, all usernames will be converted to lowercase.
